Garden Girls! A FREE gardening after school program for girls in Greenfield.
Garden Girls is a nature 🍃 connection program where curiosities are 🔥ignited! Young women will find a safe place to be themselves through connection to the land and each other. We will plant public access fruit trees and gardens at community spaces around downtown Greenfield🌱 . We will transform ignored and unused spaces into delicious 🍇 and productive forest gardens - come have fun and bring the community together restoring abundance to the land!
Instructor bio: Maggie Ranen is passionate about earth living skills and supporting people in their nature connection. She is deeply driven by her commitment to being an active community member and strives to live in harmony with the land and the beings that dwell in it. Maggie has worked at several nature education programs and has been a gardener/farmer since 2009. Maggie works with Help Yourself Edibles, as an operations coordinator. Is a birth doula and is currently pursuing an education in midwifery.
Girls Ages 13-17 Mondays 3:15-5:15 from 4/19-6/14 We will meet outside the Greenfield public library and walk to several nearby locations.
