Free Weekly Wild Edible Plant Walks - 2024 Season
Westfield & Easthampton
This season, join us for a series of gently paced plant walks along the accessible rail trails in Westfield and Easthampton.
As we walk and look around, we'll get to know dozens of edible, medicinal and useful plants, and how to safely ID, harvest and prepare them - and forming lifelong, empowering relationships with these species that sustain us. We'll encounter foods like wild cherries, sumac, linden, wild grape, edible roots, leaves for tea, medicinal plants, mushrooms and more! Over the weeks, repetition will support learning, while the seasonal progression offers something new each time. How to join: No registration is required.
